The anti-hero Morbius is ready to make his mark on the Marvel/Sony Spider-verse January 28, 2022 in theaters. Jared Leto has put on the fangs and cloak for this living vampire role.
Morbius was a biochemist with a plan to cure a rare blood disease; he has accidentally found his way into making a curse for vampirism. His newfound super strength, increased speed and durability also come with an insatiable bloodlust.

This scientific vampire will be played by Jared Leto most known by the television series “My So-Called Life” and roles like Angel Face in “Fight Club.” In the trailer for this bloodthirsty movie Leto goes from the frail and weak Dr. Michael Morbius to the superhuman Morbius.
“I went from dying to being more alive than ever,” Morbius said. “There’s something inside of me. I love to hunt and consume blood.”

Leto is no stranger to changing his body for a role. When playing Mark Chapman in “Chapter 27” Leto gained 67 pounds and was forced to be in a wheelchair due to the shock of weight gain. In 2000 he lost 28 pounds to play Harry Goldfarb in “Requiem for a Dream.”
Trailer details that have fans intrigued are the number of Spider-man references. With a cameo from Michael Keaton’s Vulture from “Spider-man Homecoming” and the graffiti of the web-slinger on the side of a building fans are speculating a full Spider-verse to be revealed.
